Cookies Policy

Africa EV Mobility Expo Kenya 2026 · MIE Events FZCO (MIE Groups)

Template notice — for legal review. This cookies policy is a new, clean template written while rebuilding the EVS Kenya website, replacing the previous page which had been copied from a different event. Before publication the organiser's legal team must review it and confirm exactly which cookies, analytics and advertising tools the live site uses, then align it with any consent banner that is deployed.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone. They let the site remember your actions and preferences over time — for example that you have already accepted a consent notice, or which language you prefer. Similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons and local storage work in comparable ways; in this policy we refer to all of them as cookies.

2. How we use cookies

We group the cookies on evs-kenya.com into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to work and to keep it secure, including load balancing and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off through our site.
  • Preference cookies — remember choices you make, such as language, region or display settings, so you do not have to set them again on your next visit.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages and sessions are most popular. We only set these where website analytics is enabled and, where the law requires it, after you have consented.
  • Marketing cookies — used to measure the performance of our campaigns and, where you have opted in, to show you relevant advertising on other platforms.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by services we use rather than by us directly:

  • Registration platform — when you open or complete a registration form you are using our registration provider (MeetBy, reg.meetby.net), which sets its own cookies to run and secure the form.
  • Embedded media — if we embed video or social content (for example YouTube or LinkedIn), those providers may set cookies and collect usage data under their own policies.
  • Analytics and advertising — if measurement or advertising tools are enabled on the site, they set cookies for reporting and remarketing.

We do not control these third-party cookies; please check the relevant provider's privacy and cookie notices for details.

4. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies when you close the browser. The help pages of your browser explain how.

Please note that blocking all cookies may affect how the site works — for example registration forms, embedded media and saved preferences may not function correctly. Where a consent banner is shown, you can also change or withdraw your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in that banner or in the site footer.

5. How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, which varies by cookie but is normally between a few days and two years, or until you delete them.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The current version is always published on this page.

7. Contact us
